Video transcription and subtitles

Transcribe the audio from any video and export subtitles as files or burned into the picture.

See pricing

Send a video file and we extract the audio track before processing, so a 5 GB recording costs the same minutes as its audio would. The video itself is never re-encoded or altered.

From there you get everything the audio pipeline produces, plus subtitle files in the formats every player understands — SRT, VTT, and ASS — or an MP4 with the subtitles rendered directly into the picture for platforms that ignore caption files.

  • Subtitle formats that work everywhere

SRT, VTT, and ASS import into YouTube, Vimeo, and every major editor and player.

  • Burn-in without a watermark

On paid plans, subtitles rendered into the video carry no branding.

  • Meeting platforms covered

Zoom, Teams, and Google Meet recordings upload directly — no conversion step.

  • Segment timing you can edit

Subtitle segments are cut at natural pauses, and you can adjust them before exporting.

Questions

Does the video file itself get changed?

No. We extract the audio track and work on that. Your source video is never re-encoded unless you specifically ask for subtitles burned in, which produces a new file.

Which subtitle format should I use?

SRT for most platforms, VTT for HTML5 video on the web, ASS when you need styling and positioning. All three come from the same transcript.

Do subtitles break long sentences sensibly?

Segments are cut at natural pauses rather than fixed character counts, and you can adjust the timing before exporting.
